Inspiring the Future is a free service for state schools and colleges to make it easy to recruit volunteers doing a range of jobs to share their knowledge and experience. Volunteers help young people to make better informed decisions about their futures and the value of education. With Inspiring the Future, you will find it easier to access employers who can support careers fairs.

Registration is open now for schools, colleges and employers. Inspiring the Future will be publically launched in July 2012, with schools in some areas having access to local volunteers from May. This is being done in stages to allow a critical mass of volunteers to build before we begin making connections with schools and colleges.
If you are logged in and see a tab called 'My Matches', it means your school/college is in an area which has gone live. Please see the matching instructions for details on how to find and contact volunteers.
Schools and colleges search for volunteers and make contact with them to invite them to take part in activities, rather than volunteers looking for opportunities.
Inspiring the Future has been developed with, and is supported by, all the main teaching unions including the AOC, ASCL, ATL, NAHT, NASUWT, NCSL and NUT.
If you are a school or college STEMNET (the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network) provides free opportunities to inspire students in STEM.
STEMNET manages The STEM Ambassadors Programme, involving 30,000 inspiring volunteers. Get in touch with STEMNET
