Inspiring Dorset is up and running with big demand for volunteers from schools!

The Inspiring Dorset campaign run in partnership with Southern University Network (SUN), Dorset Council and Dorset LEP is an exciting, campaign with big ambitions, to help raise and broaden aspirations for children in Dorset and to excite and motivate young people about the world of work and how what they are learning in school relates to the wider world.

The official launch for Inspiring Dorset is taking place with showcase school events across 2 days – on 3rd April at Holy Trinity Primary School In Weymouth and 4th April at All Saints, C of E School, Weymouth. The events will bring together a range of employers to speak to children and take part in activities across the mornings of 3rd and 4th.

Alongside the official launch, we are pleased to say that as a result of this campaign, there are lots more opportunities to take part in fun and exciting events across primary and secondary schools in Dorset. New events are being organised by schools every week but here are some examples of the upcoming events looking for volunteers:

  • Stalbridge Church of England Primary School are hosting a jobs fair on the 3rd April, with children speaking to local volunteers doing different jobs and representing different employers.
