London Careers Festival 2022

London Careers Festival is back!

This free annual summer event seeks to connect pupils from primary to post-16 with the world of work – fuelling imaginations, developing skills, and inspiring futures.

The festival will take place across two weeks from 20th June till 1st July, and with 3 events of our own taking place, Inspiring the Future is proud to be in partnership with the festival again this year.

Please read on for all of the exciting details for our sessions and the links to register.

Inspiring the Future: Jobs in the digital and tech sector

Tuesday 21st June, 9:30 –  10:30

In this session, students will meet a variety of volunteers from different backgrounds in the digital and tech sectors. Drawing attention to future-focused jobs, students can complete an LMI quiz about employment opportunities in digital and tech.

This session is aimed at Years 7 – 9.

Inspiring the Future: Pathways into Law

Wednesday 22nd June, 11:30 – 12:30

In this session we will highlight that legal jobs exist in most sectors including education, health, transport and arts and that there is a legal element to most organisations. We will also aim to showcase how law firms have a range of jobs that don’t require a legal qualification.

Volunteers will discuss pathways into law and the range of qualifications available in the profession.

This session is aimed primarily at GCSE year groups.

Inspiring the Future: Working in Healthcare

Friday 24th June, 9:30 – 10:30

This session will introduce students to a wide range of roles in the healthcare sector, connecting them to volunteers from across the NHS. Students can hear about the essential skills and subjects that are useful in jobs across the NHS, as well as learning about the different pathways into such roles.

This session is open to all year groups.

Once registered, we will email you with next steps and a reminder of joining instructions for your children. We look forward to welcoming your school onto our showcase virtual and in-person events as part of the London Careers Festival.
