The Government has committed to encourage all civil servants to participate in the scheme by volunteering in their local schools and colleges.

Growing Ambitions

We are also grateful to Sally Davies, founder of Growing Ambitions. Sally created the website Growing Ambitions in 2008 having struggled to get good quality careers guidance for her teenage son. Over the next two years she approached businesses around England to sign up to talk to young people about the jobs they do, and the qualifications and experience they needed to get there. As a result, Sally recruited 1000 people who were willing to visits schools and colleges. In May 2011 she transferred Growing Ambitions, a community interest company, to the Taskforce to incorporate it with Inspiring the Future.
