Apprenticeships

We had a fabulous time during National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2019.   Our ASK team ran over 120 events across the week, helping over 6,000 students and 200 teachers learn more about the world of @apprenticeships.

At Inspiring the Future, we are passionate about ensuring that young people are aware of all the different routes into a career.

Apprenticeships are a credible route in to the world of work, with the opportunity to gain up to a degree level qualification alongside gaining on-the-job experience with an employer.

In partnership with the National Apprenticeship Service via the Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools (ASK) we aim to increase understanding of apprenticeships and help teachers prepare students for taking this route.

Through the Inspiring the Future platform, schools and colleges can invite volunteers who have experience of apprenticeships to talk to their students and volunteers who have apprentice experience can sign up as volunteers.

We have over 6,000 volunteers happy to speak to students about apprenticeships. They could come in for an assembly or classroom talk, do a Q&A with students or talk informally over a lunchtime event.

Schools can sign up or sign in to Inspiring the Future on the buttons above to invite apprentice volunteers in to talk to students.
