Simone’s students have developed their “social and cultural capital” by building connections with Inspiring the Future volunteers from a range of different industries.
During the pandemic, Simone used Inspiring the Future to source volunteers for her ‘Virtual Careers Takeaway’, a collection of personalised videos where volunteers shared their unique career insights with students. This enabled students to stay connected to the world of work during such an isolated time as well as helping Simone to continue linking curriculum learning to students’ futures.
