What Primary Futures activity have you taken part in?
I’ve been to the careers events at school.
What was the best part of the activities?
That we can go into different rooms and meet other people to learn about their jobs. And we can get stickers and badges!

Interesting. Scientific. Fun. Cool. Fascinating.
What difference has the activity made to your ideas and aspirations about your future? Is there anything you’re excited to explore or take forward as a result?
Meeting the volunteers has given me courage to know that I can make lots of things. I have also found out about lots more jobs. The submarines really inspired me as I was amazed how they work and how they get rid of all the water when they’re under the sea.
Did anything about the volunteers and their jobs surprise you or challenge your expectations?
The one that surprised me the most was the one about wind turbines because I didn’t know they floated on the sea and they make so much electricity and have so many machines in them!
Is there anything a volunteer has said, or did that has inspired you and what did you do differently as a result?
“It’s not impossible to make something that you think is impossible.”
Can you tell us about how Inspiring the Future volunteers, events and activities have changed your attitude towards schoolwork?
I think it made me boost in maths. If you’re engineering, you need to know your numbers so I had better learn them!
Is there anything else you learnt from the experience?
It was interesting to learn about the air traffic controllers and how they know where all the planes are in the sky.
