Our work in action

About us

We connect workplace volunteers with schools and colleges to broaden children and young people’s horizons, raise their aspirations and increase their motivation to learn.

See what Inspiring the Future is all about in this short video.

Inspiring aviation

We’re introducing young people to the world of aviation – an industry in real need of future talent. It's a sector with lots of roles behind the scenes – from Air Traffic Control to aircraft engineers, marketing to aircraft despatchers. They're hidden jobs that are in demand and young people need to know about them.

Why it works

It's research based

Our many research studies show the impact of young people chatting – and quizzing – a variety of workplace volunteers:

Broadens and raises their aspirations.

Excites them about subjects – which increases their motivation to learn.

Breaks down stereotypes about who can do what job.

Reduces their likelihood of Not being in Education, Employment or Training (NEET)

Plus increasing earning potential and more.

It’s a simple idea of bringing schools and companies together, that’s got a lot of complex thinking, software, research and hard work behind it.

Nick Chambers, Founder and CEO

Over the last 15+ years over 85% of secondary schools and 35% of primary schools have signed up to Inspiring The Future.

4,500,000 +

interactions each year between workplace volunteers and young people to inspire and educate them on the world of careers out there.
