Alex uses Primary Futures to give his children’s learning purpose and meaning beyond the classroom. Using the platform, Alex filters volunteers by industry to find those who can support the subjects children are learning about at school such as STEM and construction.
Alex also uses Primary Futures to access local volunteers who can show pupils that their goals are achievable, regardless of their race, gender, class or background. His ‘Local Heroes’ careers event was supported by volunteers found using Primary Futures’ interactive map. The volunteers were able to relate to Dairy Meadow pupils and show them the range of jobs available on their doorstep.
